Billy Miller, the Emmy-winning actor renowned for his roles in “All My Children,” “General Hospital,” and “The Young and the Restless,” passed away on Friday at the age of 43. His manager, Marnie Sparer, confirmed on Sunday, which happened to be Miller’s birthday, that he had been battling manic depression at the time of his death in Austin, Texas. The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed.

Originally from Oklahoma, Miller was raised in Texas and obtained a film degree from the University of Texas, Austin. Following his graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles, where, while working in the mailroom of a prominent entertainment management and production company, he made the daring decision, spurred by friends’ encouragement, to embark on an acting career.

After securing modeling and commercial gigs, Miller landed a role on “All My Children” as Richie Novak. He would go on to make a career as a soap opera star on “The Young and the Restless,” playing Billy Abbott from 2008 to 2014 and “ General Hospital,” playing Jason Morgan and Drew Cain from 2013 to 2019.

His role in “The Young and the Restless” earned him three Daytime Emmy awards: one for outstanding lead actor in a drama series and two for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series.

Miller starred in several other TV series including “Suits,” “Ray Donovan” and “Truth Be Told.” His last acting credit was a guest role on “NCIS” in 2022, according to IMDb.

In addition to his work as an actor, he was a restaurateur and owned several bars and eateries in Los Angeles.

Surviving Billy Miller are his mother, Patricia, and his sister, Megan. Marnie Sparer, his manager, noted that he also departs from a wide circle of friends and associates who will fondly remember his affable nature, benevolent demeanor, and sincere compassion. In honor of the actor, Sparer kindly requested that donations be directed towards the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Jacklyn Zeman, renowned for her role as Bobbie Spencer on “General Hospital,” has passed away at the age of 70 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Eileen Davidson, who co-starred with Miller in “The Young and the Restless,” posted a picture of the two from a Daytime Emmy event on X, previously known as Twitter.

“His irresistible charisma and genuine warmth have left indelible marks on all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. I’ll truly miss that playful smile. Farewell, Billy, I love you,” she expressed.

“All My Children” alum Rebecca Budig remembered Miller as “so kind” and “generous to a fault” in a post on Instagram. “This is a tough one.”
